WHO IS CATHY WILCOX?

THE cartoons in David Dale's books are the work of CATHY WILCOX, who appears regularly in The Sydney Morning Herald and has collected her work in a book called Throw Away Lines.

Wilcox was born in Sydney in 1963 and grew up with an eye for the blank spaces between blocks of text. She has decorated spaces for at least 14 children's books and now takes filling
in the blanks to its logical conclusion for The SMH (since 1989) and The Age (since 1993).
